How long does a Fettan money transfer usually take?

This is determined by two components: your payment method and the payout method.

  • Fettan Debit Card - Fettan receives funds immediately

  • Mobile Wallet - Immediate to one (1) day

Once we receive the funds from your Bank Account, or Fettan Debit Card, your transaction will automatically transition to our remittance partner to be processed according to the selected Payout Method

Can I use Fettan to send money to a business?

Fettan™ is a person to person remittance service and does not support transactions for goods or business purposes. While you may be able to submit a transaction intended for a business, the transaction will eventually be rejected or the transaction will not be completed as the business receiving the payment will not be able to associate it with an invoice number.

Why does Fettan require the recipient's phone number?

Fettan requires recipient Name and phone numbers to better serve your Fettan money transfer transaction. We may need to contact your recipient to facilitate or expedite the money transfer. Your recipient's phone number will not be shared with anyone or used for any other purpose.

Why my recipient was denied funds at the pickup location?

The most common reasons for your recipient being denied funds are:

  • The transaction has not yet transitioned to our partner for payout. Visit Fettan Customer Service to make sure the funds have been made available to your recipient.
  • Your recipient did not have sufficient identification. Refer to the confirmation email you received when placing your transaction. This email lists the valid pickup locations associated with your transaction, and provides information on what types of IDs are required.
  • Your recipient visited a non-participating branch location.

If your recipient was declined at a valid pickup location, email Fettan Customer Service with the following information:

  • The exact location and branch where the recipient was turned away
  • The specific reason given to your recipient as to why your money is not being disbursed
  • The ID(s) your recipient presented
  • The Fettan Tracking Number

Fettan Customer Service will work with you, your recipient and our payout partners to expedite the transaction.

Why am I restricted from sending a Fettan money transfer?

We currently do not offer any money transfer services originating from certain regions.

We are always adding more services so please check back with us.

Why do I see the message “Payment Source Not Valid” ?

The message "Your payment source is not valid in our system" on the Payment Information page means that the payment source chosen was considered invalid in a previous transaction and cannot be used.

This might indicate a wrong bank account, wrong Fettan debit card number, or simply that any other information previously provided for that payment source is not valid. If you still want to use the same funding method, please remove (delete) it from your Fettan account and then re-enter it, creating a new funding source with the corrected information.

You might have to contact your Bank or your Credit Card institution if you are not sure where the error lies. You can also simply choose another payment source of your choice to complete your transaction.

Why do I receive a message that my payment source is already in use?

This message occurs when you attempt to enter a payment source into more than one Fettan account. Our system is configured for users to have only one account, which they access by entering their email address as a login. For security purposes, we do not allow the same payment source to be in use by more than one account.

To resolve this, please follow these instructions:

  • Log into to your original Fettan account. If you created a new account because you no longer use or do not prefer your old email address, please enter this email address along with your original Fettan password.
  • When you are logged in to your original account, click on "My Account," in the upper right-hand corner.  Click on "Email Addresses" under Account Services.
  • Change your email address to your current address

What are Fettan's fees?

If you pay with your Fettan Debit Card, you will benefit from Fettan's lowest fees and faster transaction processing.

If you pay with your bank account, the fees are slightly higher and the transaction processing is slower. The transaction is usually fast but may take up to four business days for Fettan to receive funds from your bank.

Managing Your Transactions

How do I track the status of my money transfer?

Transaction status is shown on the Track Transaction page on the Fettan website. Additionally, Fettan sends SMS Text and/or emails to keep you aware of important changes in your status.

The transaction information on the website is available only to the sender and the recipient of the money transfer.

The sender can see status by signing in to Fettan and entering the Transaction Number on the Fettan Home Page,  or by looking on the My Account page of the site.

The recipient of a money transfer can see status by clicking on the special link in the "Track Your Transaction" SMS Text and/or email sent by the "Fettan Order Status Team".  The sender provides the email address of the recipient to Fettan. If you are the recipient and did not receive the email, please check your spam/junk folders.  If your email address was not provided to Fettan when the transaction was created, the sender may enter it on the Track Transaction page and Fettan will send you the email with the link in it.

If you are the sender of a transaction, click here to go to the Track Transaction page

Can I make changes to my transaction?

Fettan will make every attempt to honor changes to pending transactions. However, we cannot guarantee that changes will be accepted or will be processed. Changing your recipient's information may delay the processing of your transaction.

Email Fettan Customer Service if you need to request a change to your current transaction. Fettan encourages you to verify all transaction details before you transfer money.

How do I cancel a transaction funded with a Bank Account?

You may request a cancelation at any time.

Please check the status of your transaction by visiting Fettan Track Transaction. If after one business day of processing the status is "Payment Processing", you may choose between:

  • Speeding up your transaction by providing us with the exact amount that has been debited from your bank account.
  • Cancelling your transaction via Track my Transaction page

If you don't see a cancellation option in Track my Transaction page, email Fettan Customer Service and provide the following information:

  • Your registered Email and the Fettan tracking number of the transaction you would like to cancel
  • Type the phrase "Cancellation Request" in the Subject field
  • Describe the reason for the cancellation in the Question field

For security purposes, you should always communicate from the email address you have registered with Fettan.??Fettan will make every effort to accommodate your cancellation request. We cannot guarantee the cancellation until our local payout partner confirms the money has not been paid to your recipient. If the transaction cannot be cancelled, you will receive a notification indicating that the transaction was completed before we had time to cancel it.

If we can cancel your transaction, you will be issued a refund. When you use a bank account to fund your transaction, it will take 1-4 business days for the funds to be processed before they reach Fettan. Much like a hand written check, the funds need to be cleared by the Bank. Your refund will be issued as soon as these funds reach us. The total time it takes for Fettan to process a refund is 5 – 10 business days before the funds are credited back into your bank account.

For more information regarding our cancellation and refund policy, please refer to the Fettan User Agreement.

Privacy and Security

How do I protect myself and my money with Fettan™ ?

We care about protecting you from risky transactions whenever you send money and we recommend you review the following before using any money transfer service:

Send ONLY to People You Know

Fettan was created with the goal of helping our customers send money transfers to family and friends. While some customers may use Fettan for commercial purposes, you should take care in doing so. We recommend that you send money only to people you know personally. Do not send money to strangers or to people you have not met in person. Fraudulent beneficiaries do exist, and they try many ways to convince others to send them money. The best way to avoid such a scam is simple – send only to people you know personally.

Protect yourself from Scams

Be wary of any offer that sounds too good to be true or attempts to scare you into sending money. Some typical online scams include:

A merchant asks you to pay a fee or tax in advance of receiving goods or money. After you pay the fee, the promised goods are never sent.

A fraudulent merchant offers to sell you goods, but never sends you the promised goods. You should avoid buying goods and services with Fettan, as we cannot certify or vouch for the merchants you might buy from. If Fettan discovers you are using the service to purchase goods or services, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction, in order to eliminate any risk of fraud. In addition, using Fettan for the sale or purchase of counterfeit goods is illegal, and a strict violation of the Fettan User Agreement.

Someone contacts you and tells you a family member is sick or in trouble, and, asks you to send money immediately. If this happens to you, try to confirm the request with a trusted family member before sending any money.

Safeguard Your Password

The best way to protect your password is to make sure you don't share your password. Avoid using any part of your name, birthday, address, or personal information in your password, and, avoid using any password that might have been used on other websites. Instead, use a unique combination of letters and numbers that you think will be hard for other people to guess. Memorize your password and try not to write it down any place where someone could find it. If you suspect your password may be compromised, change it immediately.

Send for Yourself, Not for Others

You may not submit or receive a money transfer on behalf of any other person. If you intend to submit or receive a money transfer on behalf of a business or other non-human entity, you must inform Fettan of your desire to do so (and we will request some additional information about the entity).

Use Fettan for Legal Purposes Only

You should never use Fettan to send or receive a money transfer that may be unlawful.  You should only send money for legal purposes, such as supporting your family and friends.  Fettan uses proprietary compliance and anti-fraud policies and procedures, which are mandated by the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA Patriot Act, and other applicable U.S. laws and regulations. If Fettan detects that you or your recipient are engaging in illegal activities or violating the Fettan User Agreement, then we have the right to modify or discontinue your use of the Fettan service immediately, and we will take action against your account. Please visit the Fettan User Agreement for more information.
